  • " Alice’s role as preventive conservator for Scotland + Venice and our commission with artist Alberta Whittle during this year's Venice Biennale has been an incredible help to us. Alice supported us with her knowledge and guidance early in the project when planning the installation and exhibition design, and was a consistent presence throughout the exhibition (April-November) regularly condition checking and cleaning works where required, and provided Scotland + Venice with the confidence that realistic and sustainable preventive conservation measures were in place. It has been a huge benefit to the project to have someone on the ground with specific expertise and knowledge of Venice to support us in this way and to invest their time and love in our project as Alice has done. "
